Organic Farming Action Plan
The Organic Farming Action Plan is a document was was drawn up in 2008. The document is the result of the work of the National Steering Group for the organic sector. The group was made up of different stakeholders from the sector in Ireland. The action plan is the bluebrint which outlines the work which need to be done in the coming years in order to develop organic agriculture in Ireland to reach a target of 5% of land certified as organic.
The National Steering Group has since been disbanded and been replaced by Foras Organach. However they are still using the Organic Farming Action Plan as a model to ensure that the sector develops in Ireland.
