Tranche 2 of the Agri-Climate Rural Environment Scheme (ACRES) Now Open

Tranche 2 of the Agri-Climate Rural Environment Scheme (ACRES) is now officially open for submissions until 13th December 2023 at 17:30. All organic farmers have priority access to Tier 1 of ACRES General.

To be eligible for priority access applicants must be registered as an operator with one of the Organic Control Bodies, such as the Irish Organic Association, by the closing date for applications (e.g., by 13/12/23 for Tranche 2). Organic farmers can also apply for ACRES Co-operation where farmland is located in defined geographical zones across the country.

Note that organic farmers may have to forgo organic farming scheme payments where certain ACRES actions are implemented on the same farmland parcel or area due to supposed double funding concerns. As a result, careful planning with your ACRES advisor is strongly recommended. Further information can be found on the DAFM’s ACRES webpage.
