Take part in Food Waste Charter Networking Event
Food businesses may be interested in participating in a half-day event on reducing food losses and waste along the supply chain organised by the Environmental Protection Agency. The event, taking place on 27 June – 10:00-13:00 – at the Teagasc Ashtown Food Research Centre, will bring together businesses and organisations who wish to sign up to Ireland’s Food Waste Charter.* Participants can expect to learn from companies who are working to reduce their food waste as well as obtaining advice on how to get started. Further information on the event and the Charter is available here.
*Ireland’s Food Waste Charter is a voluntary agreement designed to establish industry agreement on food waste prevention and build knowledge and capacities for food waste measurement and prevention in the sector. It is part of efforts to reach Ireland’s target to reduce food waste by 50% by 2030.
