Discover Opportunities Available Under the new LEADER Programme

Organic food and farming buisnesses may be interested in learning more about the support opportunities available from their Local Action Group (LAG) under the new LEADER Programme which is currently being rolled out. As part of the programme Local Development Strategies have been developed by the LAGs in different geographical areas nationwide to incentivise projects and other initiatives. These can relate to issues such as agricultural diversification, rural tourism, and the sustainable development of the rural environment. Depending on the applicant (community-based or private) projects can receive grant aid up to 75 to 100%, with maximum funding of between €30,000 and €500,000.

To apply for funding prospective applicants should contact their Local Action Group to register an expression of interest and discuss the eligibility of a project proposal and the funding that may be available. Further information about the new LEADER Programme and how to apply is available here.
