Applications Open for Organic Processing Grant
Businesses looking to invest in the organic value chain who may be interested in taking advantage of the Organic Processing Investment Grant Scheme (OPIG) operated by the Department of Agriculture. The latest tranche is open from 9th January to 8th February 2025 (midnight) .
The scheme provides financial assistance for projects investing in the processing of primary organic products, including the development of existing facilities, from preparation and grading to packing, storage and distribution. Grant Aid is payable at 60% of the eligible cost for projects above €3,000 (excluding VAT), with the scheme open to businesses who hold an organic licence an approved organic certification body such as Irish Organic Assoication.
Prospective applicants should carefully review the terms and condtions of the scheme and submit their application to the Organic Unit within the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine by post or email by the 7th February 2025.
