Applications Open for 2025 Horticulture Innovation and Diversification Schemes
Applications are currently open for three schemes designed to support innovation and diversification in the horticulture sector operated by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM). This includes:
- Feasibility / Desk Studies, targeted at SMEs active in primary horticulture production who would like to innovate and diversify in the horticulture industry but need to carry out specific studies before proceeding;
- Capital Investments, targeted at micro and SMEs active in primary horticulture production who wish to innovate and diversify using specialised plants and equipment. Registered organic growers can receive grant aid of up to 60% (typically 50%) for successful applications; and
- Innovation projects, targeted at large enterprises active in primary horticulture production who wish to invest in organisational-related innovation (e.g., improve workplace satisfaction) and process-related innovation (e.g., new or improved product methods)
