Nominations Open for the EU Organic Awards 2025

Nominations Open for the EU Organic Awards 2025

Applications are now open until 27th April for the EU Organic Awards which serve to showcase and reward excellence across the EU’s organic food and farming sector. Have an innovative story to tell? Nominate your organic farm or business. There are several different categories including Best Organic Farmer (female and male), Best Organic Food Processing SME and Best Organic Food Retailer.

The EU Organic Awards are an opportunity to profile the very best of Ireland’s organic sector to our European peers and complement the National Organic Awards organised by Bord Bia, the most recent awards taking place last year. In recent years Irish organic businesses have been recognised including The Merry Mill (2023 Winner for Best Organic Food Processing SME) and Coolanowle Organic Meats (2024 Finalist for Best Organic Food Retailer). More information on the awards and how to enter can be found here.

The EU organic awards are jointly organised by the European Commission, the European Economic and Social Committee, the European Committee of the Region, COPA-COGECA and IFOAM Organics Europe, with the awards ceremony one of a range of activities and events to mark EU Organic Day which takes place annually on 23 September.
