Update on Organic Capital Investment Scheme Applications
The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine has announced that Tranche 1 applicants to the Organic Capital Investment Scheme can expect to start receiving decisions on their applications from March 2024. Approval letters for the Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Scheme (TAMS 3) under Tranche 1 are being issued on a rolling basis between December 2023 and the end of March 2024 depending on the scheme (see details below).
The Irish Organic Association has continued to engage with the Department regarding the urgency of approvals for many organic farmers including new entrants. Farmers who require faster approval of their Tranche 1 applications may apply for priority approval and should contact their local Department of Agriculture office.
Tranche 2 applications will close on Friday 19th January 2024 (extended from 15th December 2023), with Tranche 3 opening thereafter and closing on Friday 12th April 2024.
